My Mom

Judy A. Kneisley (Osborne)

This was a project I've wanted to do for awhile, but was too chicken to try it. I lost her two years ago, but have not been able to scrap one page of her. Pretty sad but I so wanted to finally do this. I know there is no fancy footwork, but it does come from my heart. I still miss my mom every day and I guess this is my way to say Hi to her and to let her know that she will never be forgotten.

Pretty Paper Blog

I never used to read blogs and then my sister would say something about so and so's blog and did you see this and then send me links. Eventually she got me addicted to reading blogs as much as she got me addicted to scrapping.

On one of our weekends out shopping in Dayton (about an hour from us) I came across some papers that I fell in love with Graphics 45 and I know they are not new, but I was always slow, probably because I didn't read all those blogs lol. I bought little bit of everything and was dreaming up what can I do with it. Well phooey it's still sitting on my desk waiting for my ideas. So I start searching and come across Christie with Pretty Paper Blog and guess what she is on the design team for Graphics 45. So I started a project last night and since today is my little girls birthday I am hoping to finish tomorrow. What I really want to figure out is, is it a gift at birth or do you learn to be that talented. So maybe this old dog can be taught something lol. I will be back tonight to post my half way through project which the ideas came from Christie. Hopefully she won't be ashamed of my post lol.

Project 365 Sheesh!!

Ok! That doesn't sound right does it. I am a slacker, pure and simple ask my sister. I look at Pati's Blog, wow does she rock. I'm sorry but how she manages to do that is just so awesome. Frankly it ticks me off, how did she get that talent and where did my portion of those genes go?
So I'm going back to scrapping. Today I'm uploading a couple of layouts that I have done. But if anyone can give me better ideas on posting my pages where they just don't look so bad I would greatly appreciate it!!

Ok Project 365 just didnt work

Here Comes Jessica

Youngest of my girls is Jessica Tre'. Jessica was named by a little boy named Nathan who was the son of my closest friend Tracey. Jessica was almost 24 hours old before she got her name. Nathan walked into my room and was so excited to see her and told me he wanted to name baby Jessica. As for Tre' , well we always called Tracey "Tray" so we made it just a little more unique and she became Jessica Tre'. Oh just so you know that name does roll well when she is in trouble. She will always be my baby. Jessica was born in Phoenix, Arizona and was by far the easiest pregnancy and the easiest of the babies. And then she hit two, WOW. Amazing what a difference that can make. I felt like we could never keep up and she was a handful. Like Kayleigh she is very sensitive. We moved back to Ohio when she was a year and half old. And it was during the massive blizzard of 99. It took us 5 days to get back home, they closed freeways and we were stranded in different places. But through all of that she was an angel, she did not fuss until we got an hour from Columbus. Jessica attends Grove City Christian, where she has been very close with a group of 4 other girls since starting in the 1st grade. She loves to be creative as you can see she is into making jewelry right now. Her first love was her cat cookie who past away last year, it was terribly hard on her and now she constantly tries to steal Kayleighs 25 pound baby Fluffy. What a cat, I will post another time about our strange zoo. Jessica loves to be in choir and chapel. She is a well traveled young lady and loves it. However, she can also be a homebody, just hanging out. Unfortunately, there is this thing with the phone and her dear friend sam. Those two can talk forever and then keep calling each other all night for no reason but to see what they are doing now and now and oh yea now. Let's not forget she is the Webkinz Queen. Something new, just gotta have it. She is a special girl, she loves to write, sing, be creative and ask questions. She is our girl and although sometimes she drives her sisters crazy, they are the first ones there to take care of her.

My Girl Kayleigh

You've met Cassie, now let's meet my 14 year old KBell. Her full name is Kayleigh Dixie, which she doesnt particurlary like using the middle name, but her name is extremely precious to me. First of all she was just weeks from appearing in the world and I still had no idea what her first name should be. So all of my co-workers got together and said it was going to be unique. First they came up with how it should sound, but they wanted a cool spelling. So everyone put in what they thought is should be and waaa-laaa Kayleigh had her name. Her middle name was given to her in honor of my late sister Dixie. Dixie was my younger sister and closest in age to me. We were close and fought like all teenage sisters do. I was devastated losing her at such a young age. I wanted Kayleigh to have her name. Unfortunately it doesnt go well when I yell at her, Kayleigh Dixie West...there is just no ring to it. She is a sweetheart, always there with a huge smile and you never know what she is going to say. When she was just a year old we gave her the name boo bear. Everything was boo, you come to wake her up in the morning you got a boo, time for dinner Boo, bathtime boo, hugs boo. You had to fall in love with her. Kayleigh wasnt as quick as cassie was in walking because she knew her big sister would just take her and I bet you can guess what big sisters name was...yep you got it Boo. At a very early age Kayleigh was all about clothes and makeup. She had her own style. Well she hasnt changed a bit. We call it her MPGIS syndrome (most popular girl in school) not that she has ever said that, we just love to tease her. Kayleigh attends Grove City Christian and loves it. Her strengths are being a true friend and writing in a special way to reveal a deeper meaning. She is always concerned how people will feel with a situation and want to know they are ok. Today Kayleigh loves to be creative with her words and her art. She enjoys music (sometimes too much lol) and collects journals. Her favorite thing is to make people laugh and wow can she do it. One thing I can say for Kbell...It's her world and welcome to it!!

Project 365

I started this blog to actually track my Project 365. For those of you who don't know what this is, it's where you take a picture a day, of just anything that you would like to journal and remember. I personally realize that I scrap events, not all of the normal day to day, that makes my family who they are. I started this blog late and am still trying to figure out how to work with it. So I'm actually going to start this with my Day 8 photo.

Day 8

SPECIAL GIFTS

My little girl Jessica decided she would like to try her hand at making jewelry, now understand that my husband is so frutstrated with her not picking up after herself. Well dad went out of town this past weekend and mom gave in. Jessica had received money for Christmas from her Grandma's so out we go to Michaels. Oh my, she was being very frugal and trying to stretch what she had and make her 50% off coupon work for her. What you see here is her first pair of earrings for mom. I proudly wore these to work. She was so excited she became a hit with her friends and made several different designs to share. Those earrings will forever be special to me.

Let me introduce you to my family

Yesterday I kept wanting to post, but wasnt sure what to post about. So today I want to introduce you to my oldest daughter Cassie.

My nickname for her is angel baby. I called her that from the moment I saw her. I never thought I would have children and wow I cant describe how I felt the moment I saw her. She and I were inseperable. I couldnt go anywhere without her. I talked to her as if she were my best friend, discussing anything and everything. Which is why I think she talks and questions everything now. She can drive me nuts with all of her questions, but she is a very bright young lady with lots of compassion and dedication to her dreams. She attends a local stem school here in Ohio called The Metro School and it's very different than what I attended. For this session, I think she checks into school twice a week and the rest of the time she attends college classes at OSU or works on her internships. By going to this school it has afforded Cassie to get more individualized education, as well as becoming active with The Past Foundation. This program is unbelievable with the opportunities that they have given her. I wish I could describe this organization, but for me it's difficult. I know that they work with students from all over introducing them to maritime archaeology, forensics, ecology and teaches them more than just the basics. Dr. Shelli Smith and Ms. Rector are Cassie's Mentors. She talks about them all the time. I hope someday they know what an impact they have made on these teens. Cassie is currently involved in a research program for the ecological studies of caves. She is also very active with the Maritime Archaeology (my favorite). She has had the ability to dive several sunken ships and take samples to further study and prepare research materials for others. Now other than that, she is quick witted and loves to banter. Cassie will try anything which scares the beejeebers out of me. She loves to rock climb, snow and water ski, diving, caving, and anything else that would either a) prove she can do it and b) gives her that adrenaline rush. At 17 now, I see her growing up and moving on without us, which terrifies me. She is my baby whether she admits it or not. I took her to her first full day of college classes and she look so grown up. I miss that little blonde hair blue eye spunky 2 year old that always entertained everyone. By the way she talked me into letting her go brown this weekend. Now I have this young woman who I know is going to make her mark on society and do what she can to make our world a much better place for us to live in.
Later I will introduce you to KBell.

Ready? Set? Ummm I'm a blogger?

Well I guess it was bound to happen. As my girls get older, this will be the avenue I will use to document the changes. Of course I need to learn how to use this, but I'm sure I will figure this out.

I will be posting more later and telling you a little about myself and my family. My family is the most important thing in my life. Sad to say that as they get older I wonder, did I show them how important they were. No matter what I did or how I did it; I know that they will know that everyday from this point on. Lessons can be learned at this age, sometimes the lessons are very hard but something has to come from it.
